Le mien a commenc\u00e9 dans le chaos. Ma montre avait une heure de retard. Ma carte de transport et ma carte bancaire avaient gliss\u00e9 de mon short pr\u00e8s de l&#039;h\u00f4tel. J&#039;ai d\u00fb sprinter pour les retrouver, puis courir jusqu&#039;\u00e0 la gare et monter dans le train pour le vieux Istanbul bien apr\u00e8s le coup de pistolet.<\/p>\n<p>Quand je suis arriv\u00e9 dans la zone de d\u00e9part, mon objectif principal n&#039;\u00e9tait plus de r\u00e9aliser une pr\u00e9paration optimale avant la course. Il s&#039;agissait simplement d&#039;atteindre une position de d\u00e9part, quelle qu&#039;elle soit.<\/p>\n<p>Ces premiers kilom\u00e8tres m&#039;ont oblig\u00e9 \u00e0 tout revoir. Je me suis concentr\u00e9 sur ma technique et ma respiration au lieu d&#039;essayer de rattraper ce qui \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 perdu. Les entra\u00eeneurs parlent souvent de ma\u00eetriser ce qui est ma\u00eetrisable. Ce matin-l\u00e0, ce n&#039;\u00e9tait pas un concept. C&#039;\u00e9tait ma seule option.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c Je n\u2019ai pas pris le d\u00e9part que je souhaitais, mais j\u2019ai tout de m\u00eame m\u00e9rit\u00e9 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e. \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00c0 mi-parcours, j&#039;avais progress\u00e9 du groupe des 2 h 20 vers celui des 1 h 50. Le chrono final \u00e9tait sans appel\u00a0: 21,07 km en 1 heure et 42 minutes, soit une allure moyenne de 4 min 43 s par kilom\u00e8tre. Pas un record personnel. Pas une course de r\u00eave. Mais un effort soutenu et authentique apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9part vraiment difficile.<\/p>\n<p>Cela n&#039;a \u00e9t\u00e9 possible que parce que j&#039;ai gard\u00e9 mon sang-froid, revu mes attentes \u00e0 la baisse et pers\u00e9v\u00e9r\u00e9. Ce matin-l\u00e0, l&#039;adaptation a prim\u00e9 sur la pr\u00e9paration. Quand le d\u00e9part est rat\u00e9, la question n&#039;est pas de savoir comment rattraper le coup, mais plut\u00f4t ce que l&#039;on va faire avec le reste.<\/p>\n<p>Avec le recul, cette course a confirm\u00e9 une \u00e9vidence : les athl\u00e8tes et les professionnels qui performent de mani\u00e8re constante sous pression sont rarement ceux qui ont les r\u00e9glages les plus parfaits.
