Die Reise verlagerte sich von Museen und Stadtspazierg\u00e4ngen hin zu etwas Pers\u00f6nlicherem: Zeit mit Menschen, die ich liebe, plus eine sehr amerikanische Mischung aus Essen, Hitze und gro\u00dfartigen Erlebnissen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir verbrachten sch\u00f6ne Zeit miteinander, unternahmen eine Flusskreuzfahrt, besichtigten Wahrzeichen von Memphis (darunter die ber\u00fchmte Pyramide) und a\u00dfen BBQ so, wie man BBQ in Memphis essen sollte: wiederholt, enthusiastisch und ohne Illusionen \u00fcber M\u00e4\u00dfigung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Der Reise- und Wellness-Thread<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Selbst auf einer Reise wie dieser behielt ich meine einfachste Routine bei: Ich machte einfach weiter&nbsp;<strong>Fastenl\u00e4ufe<\/strong>&nbsp;und Trainingseinheiten im Fastenzustand. Reisen ist immer eine Pr\u00fcfung der Best\u00e4ndigkeit, und ich habe gelernt, dass mein bester Ansatz nicht darin besteht, nach Perfektion zu streben, sondern die ein oder zwei Gewohnheiten zu bewahren, die verhindern, dass die ganze Woche aus dem Ruder l\u00e4uft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die \u00dcberraschung diese Woche war, wie sehr das Training einen sozialen Aspekt angenommen hat. Meine beste Freundin und ich trafen uns mit einer Gruppe Einheimischer zum gemeinsamen Training.&nbsp;<strong>Trainingseinheiten um 5:00 Uhr morgens<\/strong>. Wir haben w\u00e4hrend unseres Aufenthalts dreimal trainiert \u2013 Laufen und \u00dcbungen mit dem eigenen K\u00f6rpergewicht \u2013 und zwar fr\u00fch genug, damit wir den Rest des Tages der Familie widmen konnten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es hat etwas Besonderes, vor Sonnenaufgang mit anderen zusammen zu trainieren. Es f\u00fchlt sich an wie eine stillschweigende \u00dcbereinkunft: Wir sind hier, wir trainieren, und wir m\u00fcssen nicht dar\u00fcber reden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Essen, Feier und Realit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Es handelte sich nicht um eine Woche der \u201cgesunden Ern\u00e4hrung\u201d, und das war auch nicht beabsichtigt. Es war eine Feierwoche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir a\u00dfen Pulled Pork (die ber\u00fchmte Version meines Freundes), probierten BBQ in mehreren Memphis-Institutionen und genossen Mahlzeiten, die in Erinnerung bleiben, weil sie mit besonderen Momenten und nicht mit Makron\u00e4hrstoffen verbunden sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eines der surrealsten Highlights: Ich durfte seinen fahren&nbsp;<strong>Shelby Cobra<\/strong>\u2014Mein Traumauto. Solche Momente brauchen keine Beschreibung. Sie bleiben einfach in Erinnerung als Beweis daf\u00fcr, dass das Leben manchmal unglaublich gro\u00dfz\u00fcgig ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ein unvergesslicher Familienmoment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend unseres Aufenthalts feierte mein \u00e4ltester Sohn seinen Geburtstag. Wir gingen mit ihm einkaufen, um einen Geburtstagskuchen zu besorgen, und beide Jungen waren \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt von der Menge an S\u00fc\u00dfigkeiten und ungesunden Lebensmitteln im Laden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es war einer dieser Momente, in denen man seine eigene Umgebung mit ganz neuen Augen sieht. Wenn Teenager von der Vielfalt der M\u00f6glichkeiten schockiert sind, wird einem erst bewusst, wie umfangreich die Lebensmittellandschaft tats\u00e4chlich ist \u2013 und wie leicht man sie normalisiert, wenn man damit aufgewachsen ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Was ich gelernt habe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Woche hat mich daran erinnert, dass es beim Wohlbefinden nicht darum geht, Feiern zu vermeiden. Es geht darum, Anker zu haben, die einem Halt geben, wenn das Leben turbulent wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00fcr mich ist Bewegung der Anker \u2013 vor allem Bewegung am fr\u00fchen Morgen. Wenn ich fr\u00fch trainiere, f\u00fcgt sich alles andere nat\u00fcrlicher. Ich bin sp\u00e4ter pr\u00e4senter. Ich treffe bessere Entscheidungen, ohne sie erzwingen zu m\u00fcssen. Und ich habe nicht das Gef\u00fchl, mich nach Reisen st\u00e4ndig neu fokussieren zu m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kleiner Fokus n\u00e4chste Woche<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Feiertagswochen einen Ankerpunkt ausw\u00e4hlen:&nbsp;<strong>ein Morgenspaziergang oder ein Workout vor dem Start in den Tag<\/strong>, auch wenn es kurz ist.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Von Washington D.C. nach Memphis zum Unabh\u00e4ngigkeitstag \u2013 Grillen, Flusskreuzfahrten, eine Shelby Cobra und Workouts um 5 Uhr morgens.
